Release /
btop v1.4.6
Change a process's priority (renice) without leaving btop.
Before you upgrade to v1.4.6
1 to fixWhat changed in v1.4.6
Renice processes, pause the process list, CPU frequency display modes, choose which GPU vendors to enable, container-aware CPU counts, `--themes-dir` and `--default-config` flags, and a `save_config_on_exit` option.
Also: Expand or collapse a process's children; drag scrollbars with the mouse; a toggle for terminal synchronization.
v1.4.6. Building needs GCC 14 or Clang 19 (C++23).
Fixed and improved
Renice processes, pause the list while you look, and toggle a process's children in tree view.
CPU frequency display modes; inside containers the CPU count follows cgroup limits and the container engine is shown.
Choose which GPU vendors btop enables.
Read the evidence
`--themes-dir` loads themes from another folder, `--default-config` prints the default config, and `save_config_on_exit` controls whether menu changes are saved.
