Good to know

Terminals differ: some insert dropped text, some only accept dropped files, some accept neither. The shelf shows the 40 most recent clipboard items.

Also: Click a card to copy it back onto the clipboard. The shelf only reads the clipboard history file and never changes it, and it takes keyboard focus only when clicked.

First release

Drag a recent clipboard item from a shelf on the edge of the screen into any app to drop its text, image or files there.

Details

First release: a panel plugin, `iluxav.omashelf`, that lists the 40 most recent entries of Omarchy's clipboard history as cards, opened with `omarchy-shell shell toggle iluxav.omashelf '{}'`. Text is dragged as `text/plain`; images and copied files are dragged as `text/uri-list`.

Also: Click a card to copy it back onto the clipboard. The shelf only reads the clipboard history file and never changes it, and it takes keyboard focus only when clicked.

Install with `omarchy plugin add https://github.com/iluxav/omashelf.git --enable`. Needs Omarchy's built-in clipboard manager (`omarchy.clipboard`), on by default. No tagged release yet.
