Before you upgrade to v0.20.0-Beta
2 to fixVolume commands now show an indicator; `--no-gui` suppresses it.
Read the evidence
The supplied service-mode configuration no longer binds arrow keys to volume commands.
For source builds, use macOS 14+ for debug builds or macOS 15+ with Xcode 26+ for release builds; the repository selects Swift 6.2.1.
What changed in v0.20.0-Beta
Set `config-version = 2` and `persistent-workspaces` to choose which empty workspaces survive; window rules can run additional commands and binding-mode changes can trigger callbacks.
v0.20.0-Beta; Beta for macOS 13+, available as a GitHub release archive; Accessibility permission required.
New things you can do
Keep explicitly named workspaces alive when empty and invisible.
Fixed and improved
`on-window-detected` is no longer restricted to layout and workspace-move commands; `on-mode-changed` can run commands on binding-mode changes.
Query parent and root layouts and the main-monitor flag through `--format` variables.
A visible notice explains when macOS Secure Input prevents shortcuts from working.
Directional focus works when all windows are floating; browser picture-in-picture and iTerm2 hotkey windows receive revised popup detection.
