Apply one palette across desktop apps, web pages and supported browser interfaces.

What you can do with Omarchroma

Apply your palette to GTK 3/4, libadwaita, GNOME settings and Qt/KDE apps.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

GTK 3 needs adw-gtk-theme. Open apps can need restarting; KDE writes may wait until applications close.

Tint web pages with your palette through Dark Reader across supported native browser profiles.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

Install Dark Reader yourself; native browsers only, not Flatpak. Chromium-family support needs python-plyvel. Microsoft Edge is no longer supported.

Apply your desktop palette to Pear Desktop for YouTube Music.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

Requires Pear Desktop; this integration is optional.

Supply or capture a palette to theme applications without Omarchy.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

The TOML file requires twenty named #rrggbb colors and overrides Omarchy when present. Automatic event watching requires Hyprland.

Toggle application theming and restore stock defaults or captured settings.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

The bar panel requires Omarchy; standalone users can use the CLI. Restore settings before uninstalling.

Find applications that still show the previous theme so you can restart them.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

Applications that cannot change colors while open need restarting.

Install or update the theme service from the Omarchy bar panel.

Since v2.5.0
Good to know

Package installation requires privileges; optional frameworks have additional dependencies.

Apply your GTK and KDE palette to Flatpak applications.

Since v3.0.0
Good to know

Off by default. Grants every Flatpak app read-only access to four theme locations and unsets GTK_THEME in the sandbox; apps pick this up on next launch.

Color tabs, toolbars and menus in Firefox, Floorp, Zen, LibreWolf, Waterfox and Vivaldi.

Since v3.0.0
Good to know

Opt-in; supports native and Flatpak installs. Restart browsers to apply. Symlinked userChrome.css, user.js or Preferences files are skipped; Chromium, Chrome, Brave and Helium are left to Omarchy.

v3.0.0
with v2.6.1

Match supported browser tabs, toolbars and menus to your desktop palette.

Details

Enable Flatpak apps with panel key `5` and Additional browsers with `6`; both start off. Dark Reader now follows all supported native browser profiles, while the bar counts windows still using old colors.

Also: Optional Flatpak theming, Dark Reader across profiles, themed file dialogs, stale-window counts and immediate service updates; Edge support ends.

v3.0.0: update the plugin and press `i` when offered. Flatpak theming needs flatpak; Dark Reader remains a separately installed extension and needs python-plyvel for Chromium-family browsers.

Keep desktop applications on the same palette when you change your Omarchy theme.

Details

The user service synchronizes GTK/GNOME and Qt/KDE colors; the optional bar panel toggles frameworks and lists stale apps with `/`. These grouped tags also add TOML palettes and preserve custom GTK CSS.

Also: Theme web pages and Pear Desktop, supply a standalone palette, revert changes, and see which apps need restarting.

v2.5.0: install the Omarchy plugin and press `i`, or build the standalone package with makepkg. Requires jq, python3 and a palette source; the daemon watches Hyprland.
