Context Mode v1.0.151
Index a directory of files for later searches.
What changed in v1.0.151
Directory traversal options extend ctx_index, fetches accept a per-call cache TTL, and CONTEXT_MODE_DIR sets a runtime storage root. OMP hooks and project-specific memory isolation are repaired.
Install context-mode v1.0.151 or upgrade the client plugin; Node.js 22.5+ or Bun is required. Restart the client to load updated hooks.
New things you can do
Fixed and improved
Set `CONTEXT_MODE_DIR` to an absolute writable root for sessions, content, and stats; empty values are unset and `~` is not expanded.
Read the evidence
`cacheTtlMs` selects freshness per fetch; Unicode previews no longer split surrogate pairs.
Read the evidence
The plugin manifest uses the loader’s `omp.extensions` key, so routing, session start, and tool-result handlers actually run.
Read the evidence
Automatic memory is scoped by project directory so sibling repositories do not share a memory file.
Read the evidence
Multiline heredoc commands retain their line structure instead of collapsing into one line.
Read the evidence
Conversation savings include previously skipped legacy databases and project-associated subprocess sessions instead of showing an identity bar.
Read the evidence
When workspace environment variables are absent, project recovery reads the Codex session log instead of using the wrong directory.
Read the evidence
Project resolution reads `VSCODE_CWD`, preserving the VS Code workspace for direct Copilot sessions.

Doctor identifies missing launch files after a partial upgrade and provides the reinstall command.
