Spaces v1.0.0
See the icons of the apps open on each Hyprland workspace in the Omarchy bar, with the active workspace slid open and the focused window highlighted.
Before you upgrade to v1.0.0
1 to fixWhat changed in v1.0.0
A Quickshell bar widget with a settings panel saved to `~/.config/omarchy/shell.json`. `omarchy-shell tornikegomareli.spaces peek <n>` opens a preview and `toggle` opens settings; `hooks/claude-hook` reports Claude Code state through `omarchy-shell tornikegomareli.spaces agent <session> <state> <pids>`. 1.0.0 renamed the plugin ID from `insanearts.spaces` to `tornikegomareli.spaces`.
Also: Live previews of other workspaces on hover and a peek command for keybindings; working, waiting and done badges on Claude Code terminals; a settings panel for icons, labels, density and animations.
`omarchy plugin add https://github.com/tornikegomareli/omarchy-spaces.git --enable`, optionally `omarchy plugin disable omarchy.workspaces`. Needs Omarchy 4 with the Quickshell bar and Hyprland 0.56 or newer; jq for the Claude Code hook. MIT licence.
New things you can do
Icons are found for Chromium web apps, apps missing from the icon theme and apps with reverse-DNS ids; hover an icon to see the window title.
Switch workspaces by clicking a pill or scrolling over the widget, and focus a window by clicking its icon.
The preview slides between workspaces as you move along the bar, and hovering an app icon highlights its window in the preview.
Open a workspace preview from a keybinding or script with the peek command, without hovering the bar.
A spinner while the agent works, a pulsing `!` when it needs input, and a check mark when done that clears once you look at the window; a workspace with a waiting agent pulses too.
Options include when icons show, colour or mono icons, icon size, max icons per workspace, always-shown workspaces, hiding empty ones, only this monitor's workspaces, grouping by app, dimming unfocused windows, the focused window title, urgent highlights, tooltips, density and animation speed.
