Omastorm v0.1.8
See the radar on NVIDIA GPUs, where the overlay used to come up blank, and keep the live view moving across scan boundaries.
Before you upgrade to v0.1.8
1 to fixWhat changed in v0.1.8
The radar shader replaces a constant array NVIDIA's OpenGL ES driver rejected with a lookup function. With no config, remembered view or Omarchy weather location, a prompt offers “Use approximate location” (one request to wttr.in on click) or “Choose manually”. `scripts/install-launcher.sh` is now `scripts/write-desktop-entry.sh`.
Also: First launch asks before estimating your location from your IP via wttr.in; the launcher-entry script was renamed; a quiet live poller restarts and recovery is bounded by chunk progress (engine-0.1.4).
`omarchy plugin update com.omastorm.radar` then `omarchy restart shell`. Engine `engine-0.1.4` (x86_64 and aarch64).
Fixed and improved
The radar overlay draws on NVIDIA OpenGL ES, where a constant array in the shader left the map empty; the live poller no longer waits forever on a chunk that never arrives at a volume's end, and rediscovers the latest volume after 90 seconds without a new chunk.
When no location is known, choose “Use approximate location” to ask wttr.in for your city from the public IP of that one request, or “Choose manually”. Nothing is sent before you click; a VPN may place you at the ISP.
